Garth Brooks is coming back to Ireland — and this time he is not stopping at Dublin. The country superstar announced on Thursday, November 5, 2026, that he will play 10 concerts across five Irish cities in the summer of 2027, taking his stadium show to Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Cork in a tour that immediately sent fans into a frenzy online.
BLUF: Garth Brooks has announced a 10-date Irish Tour for May and June 2027, with two nights in each of five cities: Belfast (May 21–22), Galway (May 29–30), Kilkenny (June 4–5), Limerick (June 11–12) and Cork (June 18–19). Tickets go on general sale at 8am on Thursday, November 12, through garthbrooks.com and aikenpromotions.com. The announcement, made by Brooks himself in a video shared by promoter Aiken Promotions, marks his first Irish dates since five sold-out nights at Croke Park in 2022.

The Announcement
Brooks revealed the tour in a video posted on Thursday morning, filmed in a warehouse where he opens a road case to find a note listing five Irish cities. “Ireland. We’re coming to you this time,” he says in the clip, before aerial footage of each venue rolls out with the dates. The announcement was quickly picked up by RTÉ, which reported the 10 concerts, and by radio stations and local media across Ireland, many of which launched ticket giveaways within hours.
The full schedule runs from north to south. It opens with two nights at Boucher Road in Belfast on Friday, May 21, and Saturday, May 22, 2027, before moving to Pearse Stadium in Galway on Saturday, May 29, and Sunday, May 30. June brings two nights at UPMC Nowlan Park in Kilkenny on June 4 and 5, two at the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick on June 11 and 12, and a closing pair at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on June 18 and 19.
Four of the five venues are famous GAA grounds, a detail that has not gone unnoticed by fans. Pearse Stadium, Nowlan Park, the Gaelic Grounds and Páirc Uí Chaoimh are all home to Gaelic games, and staging a major international tour across them is a first for an artist of Brooks’ scale. The tour poster carries a “subject to licence” note, a reminder of how carefully such large outdoor events are regulated in Ireland.
As Belfast Live reported, Brooks said of the announcement: “This has been a dream of mine since the first time we played Ireland. Once you get a taste of how the Irish love music, you can’t play there enough!”
Why Ireland Means So Much to Brooks
Few international artists have a bond with Irish audiences quite like Garth Brooks. His relationship with the country has been defined by two extraordinary chapters — one a spectacular failure, the other a record-breaking triumph.
In 2014, as he returned to touring after a long retirement spent raising his children, Brooks made Dublin the centrepiece of his comeback, booking five nights at Croke Park. All 400,000 tickets sold in less than a day. But Dublin City Council granted licences for only three of the five nights, after objections from local residents, and Brooks — insisting it was all five shows or none — cancelled the entire run. All 400,000 tickets were refunded. He later called the cancellation the saddest moment of his music career.
Eight years later, he returned. In September 2022, Brooks played five nights at Croke Park — September 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17 — selling more than 400,000 tickets and closing his stadium tour in front of Irish crowds. The run was widely seen as the redemption of the 2014 debacle, and it cemented his status as one of the biggest-selling live acts ever to play in Ireland.
The 2027 tour is a different proposition. Instead of concentrating everything in Dublin, Brooks is taking the show to the regions, playing cities and venues he has never headlined before. For fans in Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Cork, it is a first chance to see him on home turf without travelling to the capital.
The Reaction: Fans Are Already Planning
The response on social media was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Within hours of the announcement, RTÉ 2FM had launched a ticket giveaway, local radio stations in Galway, Limerick and Kilkenny were sharing the dates, and fan groups were filling up with friends tagging each other to plan trips. Many fans noted — with some disappointment — that there are no Dublin dates this time, while others celebrated the regional spread, pointing out that the tour effectively runs the length of the island from Belfast to Cork.
Travel and hospitality businesses moved just as fast. Coach companies and hotels began advertising packages for each city within hours, a sign of the scale of demand expected when tickets go on sale. Given that Brooks sold 400,000 tickets for his 2022 Croke Park run, promoters will be braced for an intense scramble at 8am on November 12.
For now, fans have a week to make their plans — and to decide which city to aim for. With two nights in each location and 10 shows in total, this is the biggest Irish tour of Brooks’ career by number of dates, and the first time the country star has played outside Dublin on the island.
